Current offering: Levels 1 to 50 free. One optional, one-time Google Play purchase (the “Evil Half”) unlocks levels 51 to 100 and premium characters. No subscriptions, no advertisements.
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you install and play Evil Level, the troll platformer game for Android developed by Nascentra Labs. It covers information the game keeps on your device, the optional technical file you can attach when you contact us, the limited communication the game has with Google Play for its optional purchase, and messages you choose to send to us. The short version is that Evil Level is designed so that we do not collect your personal information: there are no accounts, no advertisements, no analytics and no tracking services. The sections below describe the details, including the places where other providers, such as Google or your e-mail service, handle information under their own policies.
2. Who Is Responsible for Your Information
Nascentra Labs develops and publishes Evil Level and is responsible for the personal information it receives when you contact us about the game. Where privacy law uses the term “controller”, Nascentra Labs acts in that role for the support correspondence it receives. We do not run a game server, a player database or an online leaderboard, so we do not hold a remote record of your play. Google is responsible for Google Play, your Google account and payment processing, and your device manufacturer and e-mail provider are responsible for the services they operate. For any question about this policy or to exercise a privacy right, contact nascentra@gmail.com or WhatsApp at +923477419855.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
Evil Level does not ask for your name, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, photographs, contacts, precise or approximate location, microphone or camera access. It does not create a player profile, does not include advertising or analytics software development kits, and does not use an advertising identifier. The game does not read the files on your device, does not monitor other applications and does not build an interest profile about you. The only “ad” you will ever see in Evil Level is a fake advertisement that is part of a level design; it is drawn by the game itself, is not provided by an advertising network, and does not send or receive any information when it appears or when you tap it.
4. Game Progress Stored on Your Device
To let you continue where you left off, Evil Level saves your progress inside the app’s private storage on your device. This includes which levels you have cleared and unlocked, how many times you have died on each level, total play time, the number of sessions you have played, and which characters you have earned. This information is used only by the game, on your device, to show your progress, unlock new worlds and display your death counter. We cannot see it, and it is not uploaded to us. Other apps on a normally functioning Android device cannot read the game’s private storage. Uninstalling the game, clearing its storage in Android settings, or using Reset progress in the game deletes this local information.
5. Settings and Preferences
Evil Level also stores your preferences on your device, including your selected character, colour theme (Classic, Paper, Night or Mint), sound volume, vibration, screen shake, whether the death counter is shown, the size and opacity of touch buttons, and whether you use the left-handed layout. These settings exist only to make the game behave the way you chose. They are not used to profile you and are not sent to Nascentra Labs during normal play. You can change any of them at any time from the Settings screen. Like your progress, these preferences are deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its storage, and some of them may be included in your device backup if you have backups enabled, as described in Section 11.
6. Plays Offline
The full game, including all free levels and any Evil Half content you own, is playable without an internet connection. Gameplay, deaths, trap layouts, hints and level progress are calculated entirely on your device. The game does not contact Nascentra Labs while you play, does not send your scores anywhere and does not need a connection to start. The only network communication the game performs on its own is the optional Google Play Billing check described in Section 7, which lets the game show the price of the Evil Half, process a purchase you choose to make, and confirm whether your Google account already owns it. If you are offline, the game simply uses the ownership result it last remembered on your device.
7. The Evil Half and Google Play Billing
Levels 51 to 100 and eight premium characters are unlocked by one optional, one-time in-app purchase through Google Play. Google handles the entire payment: Nascentra Labs never receives your card number, bank details, billing address or the name on your payment method. To make this work, the game asks Google Play for the localised price of the product, opens Google’s purchase screen when you tap to buy, and asks Google Play whether your Google account owns the purchase on launch, on resume and when you tap Restore purchase. The game then remembers the answer on your device. Google may provide us with standard order records through the Play Console, such as an order identifier, the date and country of a purchase, as Google’s own policies describe.
8. Contact Us and the Debug File
Settings includes a Contact us button. When you tap it, the game opens your e-mail app (Gmail if it is installed) with a pre-written message addressed to nascentra@gmail.com and an attached text file named evil-level-debug.txt. Nothing is sent by the game itself. The message is only sent if you review it and press send in your e-mail app, and you are free to edit the text, remove the attachment, or cancel entirely. The attachment exists to help us reproduce bugs and understand feedback about specific levels. It is created at the moment you tap Contact us and is shared only with the e-mail app you choose, through Android’s secure file sharing, so that other apps cannot read it.
9. What the Debug File Contains
The evil-level-debug.txt file contains technical information only: the game version and build number, the game engine version, the time the file was generated, your device manufacturer and model, Android version, screen resolution, density and frame rate, graphics renderer, language and time-zone settings, the number of sound effects loaded, memory use, the screen you were on, the current level and deaths in that run, levels cleared and unlocked, total deaths, play time and session count, your selected character, theme and settings, the levels where you died most, and recent error messages produced by the game. It does not contain your name, e-mail address, contacts, photographs, location, files from your device, or any information from other apps.
10. How We Use Support Messages
If you send us an e-mail or WhatsApp message, we receive your e-mail address or telephone number, the content of your message, and any attachment you kept, including the debug file. We use this information only to read and reply to you, to investigate and fix bugs, to improve level design and difficulty, and to keep a record of the conversation while it is useful. We do not add you to a mailing list, sell your details, or use them for advertising. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request and follow up, after which we delete them unless we must keep them to comply with a legal obligation. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.
11. Device Backups and Restoration
Evil Level allows Android’s built-in backup and device-transfer features to operate. Depending on your device, your Google account settings and your manufacturer, your locally stored progress and settings may therefore be copied into an Android backup or moved to a new phone when you transfer your data. Nascentra Labs does not operate those backup services and cannot access your backup account. Backups are handled by Google or your device provider under their own privacy terms. If you want to stop progress from being backed up, you can change your system backup settings. Clearing the game’s data on one device may not remove an existing backup, and restoring a backup later may bring earlier progress back to the device.
12. Device Permissions
Evil Level requests only the permissions it needs. The vibration permission allows haptic feedback when you die, land or trigger a trap; you can turn vibration off in Settings at any time. The Google Play Billing permission, together with network access, is used only for the optional Evil Half purchase described in Section 7. The game does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone calls, SMS, calendar or general file storage. The debug file is shared through a private file provider that grants temporary read access only to the e-mail app you pick. You can review the game’s permissions at any time in Android’s app settings.
13. Fake Screens Are Part of the Game
Evil Level is a comedy game, and some levels deliberately pretend to be something else: a fake crash dialog, a fake “not responding” message, a fake advertisement, a fake update screen, a fake low-battery warning, a fake “YOU DIED”, fake loading bars and fake “level complete” messages. These are drawn entirely by the game and are part of the level. They do not collect information, do not open websites, do not download anything, do not show real third-party advertising, do not change your device settings and do not ask for personal information. If any screen inside Evil Level ever asks you for a password, payment card or personal details outside Google Play’s official purchase screen, it is not from us.
14. Children’s Privacy
Evil Level is suitable for a general audience and is designed so that it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your country. There are no accounts, chat features, user-generated content, social features or advertising. A child can play without giving us any information. Purchases are made through Google Play, where parents can use Google’s family and purchase-approval controls. If a child contacts us by e-mail and a parent or guardian would like that message deleted, please write to nascentra@gmail.com and we will delete it. We do not knowingly keep personal information from children beyond what is needed to answer a message.
15. Legal Bases for Processing
Where privacy laws such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on the following legal bases. When you contact us, we process your message and attachment because it is necessary to respond to your request and on our legitimate interest in supporting players and improving the game. Where Google provides us with purchase records, we process them to fulfil our contract with you for the Evil Half and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Progress and settings stored only on your device are not processed by us. If we ever wanted to use information for a new purpose that requires consent, we would ask you first and you could refuse without losing access to the game.
16. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information you send in support messages is accessed by Nascentra Labs and stored with our e-mail or messaging provider so that we can read and reply to it. We may disclose information if we are required to by law, by a valid court order or by a government authority, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of players, Nascentra Labs or others. If Nascentra Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition or transfer of the game, support records may be transferred to the new owner under protections at least as strong as those in this policy.
17. International Transfers
Nascentra Labs, and the e-mail and messaging providers we use, may handle and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States and member states of the European Union. When you contact us, your message may therefore be transferred to and stored in countries that have different data-protection laws from your own. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses. Information that stays on your device, such as your progress and settings, is not transferred by us at all. Google Play purchase information is processed by Google under its own international transfer arrangements.
18. Data Retention
Your progress and settings stay on your device for as long as the game is installed and you do not clear its data or use Reset progress. We have no copy of them. Purchase ownership is remembered on your device and is held by Google in your Google account for as long as Google keeps it. Support e-mails, WhatsApp messages and debug files you send are kept only while they are useful for answering you and resolving the issue you reported, and are then deleted, normally within twenty-four months of the last message in a conversation. We may keep records longer if the law requires it, for example to resolve a dispute or meet an accounting duty.
19. Security
Because Evil Level does not send your gameplay to us, the most important protection for your progress is the security of your device. The game keeps its data in Android’s private app storage, shares the debug file only through a restricted file provider, and communicates with Google Play using Google’s official billing library over encrypted connections. We protect support correspondence by using reputable providers with access controls and by limiting who can read it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will act promptly and, where required, notify you if we learn of a security incident affecting information we hold.
20. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. In practice, the only personal information we hold is support correspondence and any purchase records Google provides. To exercise a right, contact nascentra@gmail.com; we may ask for reasonable information to confirm the request is yours, and we will respond within the time required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Data stored only on your device can be removed directly with Reset progress or by uninstalling.
21. California and US State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Nascentra Labs does not sell or share personal information as those laws define the terms, and does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. In the last twelve months, the only categories we may have received are identifiers and the content of messages you chose to send us, and commercial information about purchases provided by Google. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
22. Third-Party Services and Links
Evil Level relies on a small number of services provided by others: Google Play for distribution, billing and purchase restoration; Android for backups, haptics and secure file sharing; and the e-mail app you choose when you tap Contact us. These services are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read, including Google’s Privacy Policy. The game itself is built with the open-source libGDX engine and uses the Fredoka font; neither collects information. This policy does not cover the practices of services we do not control, and we are not responsible for how those providers handle information you give them directly.
23. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the game changes, when we add or remove a feature that affects information, or when the law requires it. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and publish the new version here and in the game’s Settings screen. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will make it clearly visible before it takes effect, for example through the game’s release notes or store listing, and where the law requires consent we will ask for it. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. Earlier versions are available on request.
24. Contact Us
If you have any question, concern or request about this Privacy Policy or about privacy in Evil Level, please contact Nascentra Labs by e-mail at nascentra@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +923477419855. You can also use the Contact us button in the game’s Settings screen; remember that you can remove the debug file before sending if you prefer not to include it. We aim to reply to every message within a few business days. You do not need an account, a purchase, or any personal details beyond a way to reply in order to contact us. Thank you for playing, and remember: trust nothing, especially the floor.
